The Defy always had the ability to be used as a WiFi hotspot even with Android 2.1 as Motorola added their own custom app for this purpose.

Its been ages for moto to roll out froyo.. I wonder how many defy are still alive today and waiting for their tasty upgrade..?
Non teh less, froyo is finally here!
